Terms and Conditions

These terms explain how you may use the Phillips & Powell Sterling website and services. Please read them before booking a workshop or requesting financial guidance.

Section 01

Terms of use

Using this website means you accept these financial education terms for the UK and agree to use the information responsibly.

These terms apply to the Phillips & Powell Sterling website, financial education workshops, individual financial planning guidance, and investment literacy programmes. They apply whenever you browse the website, contact us, or book a service.

Website content is provided for general information. It may change as our services, legal requirements, or learning materials develop. You are responsible for checking that information remains suitable for your own decision.

Questions about these terms should be sent before booking, so we can address them clearly.

Section 02

Education and guidance only — not regulated advice

Read this financial guidance disclaimer before relying on any workshop, conversation, example, or written material.

Phillips & Powell Sterling does not provide regulated financial advice as defined by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Our sessions explain financial concepts, planning approaches, and investment terminology in general terms.

We do not recommend specific financial products, select investments for you, arrange regulated transactions, or manage money on your behalf. Examples are for learning and may not suit your income, objectives, tax position, risk tolerance, or wider circumstances.

Check the details yourself before acting. Speak with an FCA-authorised firm when you need a personal recommendation or regulated advice.

Section 03

Booking and cancellation terms

Our workshop booking terms keep dates, fees, and preparation clear for every client.

Confirmation

A booking is confirmed when we have agreed the service, date, format, and fee in writing. Payment is due in line with the invoice or booking message.

Cancellation

Please give at least 5 working days' notice if you need to cancel a workshop or guidance session. Charges or deposits will be handled according to the written booking terms.

Rescheduling

We will try to move a session when reasonable notice is given. A new date depends on availability and may require revised arrangements.

Exceptional circumstances

We may cancel or rearrange a session because of illness, disruption, unsafe conditions, or another serious event. We will contact you promptly and discuss the next practical step.

Section 04

Intellectual property and acceptable use

Our materials are made for the people and organisations who receive them. Please handle them with care.

Unless stated otherwise, website copy, workshop materials, diagrams, exercises, branding, and presentation content belong to Phillips & Powell Sterling. Your booking gives you permission to use the materials for your own learning or the agreed internal purpose.

You must not reproduce, sell, publish, distribute, modify, or present our materials as your own without written permission. You must not use the website for unlawful activity, to damage its operation, or to obtain content for commercial gain outside the agreed service.

We take reasonable care with our content, yet financial decisions remain your responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, Phillips & Powell Sterling is not liable for losses caused by acting on general educational information without obtaining advice suited to your circumstances.

Section 05

Need regulated advice? Check the FCA Register

A regulated adviser must have the right authorisation for the service they offer. Verify before sharing money or personal details.

Check the firm first.

Use the official FCA Register to confirm a firm's trading name, permissions, and contact details. Be cautious if a firm cannot be found, pressures you to act quickly, or offers a service outside its listed permissions.

Please keep a copy of these terms for your records. If a particular booking includes different written arrangements, those arrangements will explain which terms apply to that service.
